چکیده
Opencast mining method is one of the most productive methods available at present, which generally associated with removal and handling a huge amount overburden material. Hence it imposes serious challenge dump slope stability that too, mainly in case internal dumps. The study primarily focused on dragline dumps subsequent development rating system to classify profiles. Initially, numerical simulation executed through RS2 (Version 9.0) software, based finite element method. Thereafter, results are used perform sensitivity analysis various geometrical strength parameters slope, two-factor interaction also incorporated into analysis, this included dependency closest while calculating index, thereafter, converted each parameter. parameter like angle friction bench between coal-rib roof sitting level assigned highest value. Based overall dump, slopes classified classes, viz., very safe, vulnerable, unstable, highly unstable. This classification proved be handy quick estimation gives an idea designing optimum safe developed chart has been validated by previous research works found similar results.

An Evaluation of Slope Stability Classification
An overview is given of a series of classification systems used for rock slope stability analyses. Calculation methods and parameters used seem not always appropriate for slopes stability and could be improved. Based on this evaluation some new ideas developed of how a system for slope stability assessment could be designed without inherited legacies as parameters related to underground excavat...
متن کاملA GIS System Development for Evaluating 3D Slope Stability
When using a 3D deterministic model to evaluate the landslide susceptibility of regional area, processing large amounts of spatial data and identifying the objective for applying the deterministic model would be arduous works. In this research, an enhanced hydrology tool is developed to automatically identify the objectives of research, which are called slope units, from terrain raster data. A ...
متن کاملSystem reliability approach to rock slope stability
A systematic quantitative methodology for the reliability analysis of stability of rock slopes is presented. A sliding mass resting on an inclined plane and composed of two blocks separated by a vertical tension crack is considered, and a disjoint cut-set system formulation is proposed, with each cut-set corresponding to a different failure mode of the slope. Methods for the evaluation of the s...
متن کاملA Proposed Modeling Method in Finite Element Slope Stability Analysis
Limit-equilibrium method (LEM) and finite element method (FEM) with strength reduction method (SRM) techniques are the most widely used analysis tools in slope stability assessment. Recently, researchers have reported that both factor of safety (FOS) values and failure surfaces obtained from LEM and FEM are generally in good agreement, except in some particular cases. In this paper, the FOS and...
متن کاملAN AGGREGATED FUZZY RELIABILITY INDEX FOR SLOPE STABILITY ANALYSIS
While sophisticated analytical methods like Morgenstern-Price or finite elementmethods are available for more realistic analysis of stability of slopes, assessment of the exactvalues of soil parameters is practically impossible. Uncertainty in the soil parameters arisesfrom two different sources: scatter in data and systematic error inherent in the estimate of soilproperties. Hence, stability o...
